June 1st, 2011—Dynapar announces the next generation RIM Tach 8500, our heavy duty bearing-less encoder which is a part of the industry leading NorthStar product portfolio. This next gen RIM Tach product delivers superior ease-of-installation and a robust, rugged design demanded by customers for tough vector-motor applications.
The next generation design continues the RIM Tach tradition with stainless steel sensor modules and ductile cast iron housing. The sensor module uses a new rugged magnetic technology that delivers a 70 thousandths air gap, the largest sensing gap in the industry. For ease-of-installation, the new RIM Tach 8500 is designed with a generous axial play of up to 0.50 inches and does not require any precision tools or measurements.
